Samsung Unveils the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and Samsung Pay – PHOTOS

Samsung has announced its new flagship phones today at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are now consist of a metal frame, housed by Gorilla Glass 4 on both sides, in a slimmer and lighter design and wireless charging.

Here are the hardware specs (via TechCrunch):

Available in April in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB
Gone is the removable back, battery, SD card slot and waterproofing.

As expected, both phones come with a new revamped touch-based fingerprint sensor, similar to Apple’s Touch ID.

Samsung also announced their Apple Pay competitor, ‘Samsung Pay’ (interesting choice of name), which will utilize technology from its recent acquisition of LoopPay. Samsung Pay will use NFC (and utilize tokenization like Apple Pay for security) and can also ‘talk’ to magnetic stripe card readers, set for a summer launch in the U.S. and South Korea, with further expansion pegged for Europe and China. It will only be available to the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Here’s how Samsung Pay will work: users swipe up from the device’s bezel, which launches the Samsung Pay app. Users then choose their mobile payment method, then use the new fingerprint sensor to authenticate (like Apple Pay) the transaction, then users need to tap their phone to the merchant’s point-of-sale terminal.

Samsung has long been criticized for making its former Galaxy phones out of cheap plastic. That is no longer the case with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, which actually brings a premium look to the devices, something iPhone owners have long experienced.

No prices were announced today by Samsung. I have a hunch they will be priced the same or higher to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on subsidized contracts.

Club Quilox Responds To M.I’s Twitter Rant; Reveals Rapper Didn’t Adhere To Initial Agreement

Club Quilox has finally responded to M.I's Twitter outburst about being dishonored by the club's management. The club's management has revealed that M.I's party didn't adhere to the terms agreed on.

The recent tweets by Rapper MI has come to our attention and we found it necessary to address the issue. Quilox had a contract with Live&Unplugged on February 28th between 10pm-12am. Live&Unplugged contracted M.I as their artist for the night.

At 12am on the said day, M.I was still performing and majority of our customers were complaining and demanding the DJ as we had other events planned for the night. In the process, some customers left.

However, the management honoured M.I’s presence by giving him an additional 30mins and informed his management that he would need to stop at exactly 12.30am. At 12.34am, he was still playing.
Our management at this point was forced to take a decision at 12.45am and let the DJ start his set for the night. The 1st song he played was M.I – Bad Belle to show no disrespect.

Again, we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Quilox however is a business that adheres to it’s agreed terms of contract and respects professionalism.

YBNL artiste, Lil Kesh is currently at the home of his boss, Olamide where he finally met the rapper's newly born son.

Olamide and his girlfriend welcomed a son, Batifeori last month but Lil Kesh was absent at his naming. He went alongside music producer Young Jon to Olamide's abode.

APC Says Fani-Kayode’s Mind Is Distorted For His Preposterous Allegation Against Osinbajo/ Tinubu

Spokesperson of the People's Democratic Party recently alleged that the APC had plans to resign Osinbajo for Tinubu should the party win the coming elections. APC is displeased with this statement have

Our attention has been drawn to a statement credited to the Director of Media of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode on the All Progressives Congress and its leaders.

Fani-Kayode alleges that Asiwaju Tinubu would become president by asking the Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo to resign after six months in office in the belief that the. President Muhammadu Buhari may have terminal health challenges.

That the message came through Mr. Femi Fani- Kayode who, just a few days ago, was brought to answer corruption charges, makes the message incredulous. The whole world knows the other reasons for the incredulity of any message delivered through him.

However, to the uninformed, there is no iota of truth in such allegation. It is the product of infantile, wild imagination of a convoluted, distorted and warped mind

In the APC, we do not indulge in oath-taking, pact-signing and such other rituals that the PDP establishment is adept at. Such PDP- induced Okija scenarios have no place in the APC.

Professor Yemi Osinbajo is a thorough- bred, accomplished professor, teacher, pastor, mentor and preacher who is nationally and internationally acknowledged as a man of probity, integrity, transparency and competence who can never be part of such inanities.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his part, is the foremost national leader of the APC who has achieved an enviable, political status, fame and stature. He has gone far beyond using subterfuge to attain any political position.

It is widely known, globally, that he has been pivotal in midwifing the most potent and formidable opposition movement that has become the nightmare of the incompetent behemoth called the PDP, and to the delight of Nigerians, the desired change they are waiting for.

Having lost substantial ground politically and seeing the inevitability of an APC victory at the polls, it is the. PDP that is strenuously engaging in all kinds of subterfuge from hurling personal abuses and attacks on Buhari and Tinubu; to election postponement antics; to evading elections at all costs and even the unfashionable idea of foisting an interim government. It is the. PDP that is generating crisis in order to make the elections difficult if not impossible. Unknown to its campaign machinery, these gimmicks potray the PDP as deep in conclusive disarray.

Indeed, the fact that the PDP campaign machinery can construct a post- presidential election scenario in which APC would be in power is a significant testimony of their admission that they have lost this election. We note this mental and psychological concession of victory to our party's presidential candidate but reject the odious scenario.

Nigerians should please ignore this latest antic because it is untrue,ridiculous, ludicrous, mundane and jejune.

Rapper M.I has been on a ranting spree lately. Days after his outburst about Etcetera, the Jos born rapper is back at it, this time his rants are aimed at popular Lagos night club, Quilox.

Quilox has been in the news in the past for throwing out guests, being rude and sometimes beating up customers and this time it appears M is on the receiving end.

Jude Abaga who is passionately known as M.I to his fans was obviously feeling aggrieved while he tweeted "Quilox as a business disrespected me and my brand tonight, In more reasonable settings.. Whoever the manager was tonight should be fired!! By what do I know..,".

Details of what happened are still sketchy as at the time of this report.

M.I concluded by stating he won't be returning to the night club anytime soon "I don't think I will be going back there anytime soon.. Yall just lost a customer.." he concluded
