Looked like yesterday when Rihanna released her break out single as a teenager, fast forward 9 years later she is 27.

With her birthday celebration photos still scarce, RiRi wrote a long message on her Instagram thanking God for sparing her life until this day.

27 years ago, my mother gave birth to her very first child at the tender age of 27! life is never a piece of birthday cake, but i feel special that i was chosen by my father in heaven to make it here! and each year that goes by i am more grateful! every day we wake up, means we get another chance at life....to live what we've learned and to discover even more, to be good to other people and to know that you are a part of their smile! i cherish these days, and i pray that god will spare my life to see many more!#feb20

Covenant University tops in Nigeria, West Africa rankings

In a recent release of Webometrics ranking of World Universities, Covenant University has emerged overall best in both the webometrics and repositories rankings of universities in Nigeria and West Africa.

The university is also ranked 15th and 13th in both webometrics and repositories in Africa respectively.

According to the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Charles Ayo, the ranking is one of the best any university in Nigeria had ever achieved.

He said, “This is a validation of the leadership position of Covenant University, not only amongst the league of private universities in Nigeria, but also amongst all public universities in the country and West Africa.

“This result is a validation of the university’s quest towards the vision 10:2022, which is to get the university listed amongst the top ten universities in the world by 2022. This accomplishment is awesome and we return all the glory to God.”

The Ranking Web or Webometrics is the largest academic ranking of Higher Education Institutions of about 25,000 institutions in the world based on web presence and impact. Factors considered are impact, presence, openness and excellence.

Yesterday presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress, Muhammadu Buhari flew to England for a yet to be disclosed reason.

Opposition party claim he traveled for medical reasons, but we all know how APC and PDP throw banters at each other, so you might want to take that with levity.

A  twitter user just shared a photo of the APC man in London, the location looks like an airport. The photo is yet to be confirmed but it looks like what it claims to be.

Buhari reportedly travelled out of the
country yesterday and Ekiti State
governor, Ayo Fayose has a thing or
two to tell Nigerians about it.
The Governor released a press
statement, find it below:

Fayose has said that the secret trip
made today, by the All
Progressives Congress ( APC )
presidential candidate, Major
General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd)
to the United Kingdom (UK)
enroute United States of America
(USA) for medical treatment has
shown that the APC leaders,
especially Senator Bola Tinubu
were covering up his (Buhari ) true
health status for their selfish gains.
Buhari travelled to the UK today
unannounced, fueling speculations
that he was flown abroad in an air
ambulance.
Though a statement later issued by
the APC Presidential Campaign
Organisation said that Buhari was
on a short working visit to the UK,
Governor Fayose, in a statement
issued by his Special Assistant on
Public Communications and New
Media, Lere Olayinka said the
party was not saying the truth.
The governor said; “The truth is
that Buhari travelled out today to
seek medicare in USA.
“If the APC people are saying
otherwise, let them publish the
picture of Buhari boarding the
plane and granting interview to
Aviation Correspondents at the
Abuja Airport.
“While I am happy that the APC
people that are packaging Buhari
finally hearkened to my plea that
they should allow him ( Buhari) to
seek medicare abroad, I must say
that it was evil for the APC to have
lied that Buhari travelled on a
working visit.
“These APC political merchants
should say the truth and save
Nigeria from the possibility of
another Yar’Adua experience.
“They should tell Nigerians that
Buhari is actually sick and lack
capacity to rule Nigeria and that
they are only packaging him,
hoping that he will become
incapacitated if he becomes
president so that they can take
over power by proxy.”
While wishing Buhari speedy
recovery, Governor Fayose said;
“Like I have maintained, the north
should wait till 2019 to produce a
younger, energetic and healthy
president of Nigeria.”
